Vitabovis™ and Quantum Mist™ HOCl is
a molecule that is also produced by the immune cells of our natural defences to destroy invaders.
This happens after our immune system recognises a micro-organism, such as a virus, as an uninvited guest.
HOCl is a molecule of the so-called reactive oxygen species (ROS) and in our bodies the defence mechanism against viruses via helicase-1 and a signal protein 1 produced by mitochodria.
Airway epithelial cells have been shown to respond to influenza infection with ROS produced by mithochondria. The occurrence of ROS led to the production of type III interferon and the switch to an "antivirus mode", thus limiting the infection.
The concentration is very important. If the concentration is too high, it can cause skin ageing, but if the concentration is low, it can cause skin rejuvenation.
